Forrest Perry is a CPA with a passion for helping small business owners understand their finances. Currently, he works as the Lead for Business Development and Customer Operations at Heard, where he is helping build a financial back-office for mental health professionals in private practice. Forrest's goal is to help private practice owners get their taxes handled and understand their financial performance. Forrest started his career at PwC in public accounting and external audit, where he obtained his CPA. He then transitioned into PwC's Cybersecurity & Privacy practice, where he co-managed GDPR and CCPA projects at three different Fortune 50 companies. Forrest quickly acclimated to this new field and obtained his CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) from the IAPP in December 2019. In early 2020, Forrest joined PwC's internal SaaS incubator to assist with product sales, sales operations, and go-to-market strategies. He worked on four different software solutions: TaxVerse (Sales Tax Compliance), Check-In (Automated Contact Tracing), Risk Proof (Financial Risk Assessment Optimization and Automation), and ProEdge (Digital Upskilling and Workforce Planning). Forrest graduated from Gonzaga University with an accounting and finance degree. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, backpacking, and watching Gonzaga basketball. Forrest's past experience includes working at Heard as employee #2, where he helped build out the business development, sales operations, onboarding, tax, accounting operations, and customer success teams. He also worked at PwC as an Enterprise Sales, ProEdge, where he helped organizations plan for their workforce now and tomorrow and empower their people with the digital skills needed to drive growth and efficiency. Overall, Forrest has 7.61 years of relevant experience and a strong passion for helping small business owners understand their finances.
